Does my text get sent to a server?

No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

Why does formatting survive when I paste into WordPress?

The “Copy for WordPress” button puts HTML on your clipboard. The Gutenberg editor recognizes it and turns it into ready-made blocks — headings, lists, tables, code.

Is GitHub Flavored Markdown supported?

Yes: tables, strikethrough, task lists and code blocks are handled per GFM rules.

Can I copy plain HTML code?

Yes. The “Copy HTML” button copies the raw HTML as text — handy for templates or manual paste in code mode.
