FAQ
What does this tool do?
It compares two versions of text or code and shows line-by-line differences: what was added (green), what was removed (red), with line numbers. In-line changes are highlighted word by word.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The comparison runs right in your browser; your texts never leave the page.
How does “Side by side” differ from “Inline”?
“Side by side” shows the two versions in two columns (like GitHub). “Inline” is a single list where removed and added lines follow each other. Pick whichever is clearer.
What does ignoring whitespace do?
Differences in leading/trailing spaces and tabs are not counted as changes — handy when only the content matters, not indentation.
